On the way back to Nairobi from the national park, we had to endure some pretty bad roads (not seen on the picture, this road was in better condition than most roads in Europe). It had been raining the whole day and the dirt roads had turned into complete mud. But we got through, only to have our car break down at this very point. We were lucky on many accounts: the car didn't break down in the mud, when it would've been impossible to get it anywhere; our driver successfully replaced the broken part to take us to the next town (we took a cab from there); and the car happened to break down just where there were a lot of giraffes to admire. The photo turned out nice, too, so overall not a bad experience, although at the time it certainly felt so. That's my mom trying to see where the road leads.
